E69 – AO PO MARINA TO KHO KRADEN

Leaving Ao Po Marina, Phuket

Although we had had horrible weather and squalls in the marina while we underwent some badly needed maintenance, on departure the conditions did not continue and we had a very light breeze initially and then a light breeze with just enough to sail as the day wore on. I decided ultimately to make for Kho Phi Phi as the wind was favourable.

Once we arrived, we had typical squally weather for the afternoon and evening and ran before moderate to strong winds the next day to Kho Kraden where we picked up a public mooring provided by Thai National Parks.
