E82 – BELITUNG
5 Days anchored at Belitung
After a 250+nm long passage from the Lingeh group, bypassing Bangka Island, we anchored in the western anchorage at the north western tip of the perfect island of Belitung.
The north western coast of Belitung supports a small tourist community that mostly serves Indonesian tourists, but it also offers a fine anchorage and resupply point in that region. With local restaurants and supermarkets within easy reach by foot or by car, many yachts stop here and enjoy the crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches and rugged landscape while they recharge their own batteries and resupply their vessels. Starlight was no exception and we spent a very pleasant 5 days here just chilling and getting ourselves in order for the next long passage.
Even the couple of afternoons we had thunderstorms didn’t dampen our spirits here, and the holding was good.
