E15 – DUNK ISLAND TO MOURILYAN HARBOUR

Another overcast day…

Heading off from Dunk Island on another overcast day with little wind, we motor sailed north to the picturesque harbor of Mourilyan. It’s an incredibly narrow entrance into the natural harbor that provides protection almost 360 degrees.

Mourilyan Harbor is used by large sugar carrying ships who somehow manage to not only make a narrow entrance into the harbor, but then complete a 180 degree turn to berth alongside the sugar loading dock before making their exit back through the narrow entrance. The captains of those vessels get my respect !
