E57 – NONGSA POINT TO MALAYSIA

Leaving Nongsa Point Marina…

As we were due to depart Nongsa Point very early in the morning, a large thunderstorm bore down on the island of Batam and we luckily had not let go the lines yet so could sit that one out for about an hour safe and sound. Once we left the marina though, we had strong 25-30kt winds on the nose and a steep sea caused by the fast tidal flow in the Singapore Strait.
